End-of-line automation: case study flour bundle mills

With more than 60 years of experience in the industry, the historic mill located in the Český Krumlov area of the Czech Republic chose Europack to revolutionize its palletizing process.

Like many companies with a long tradition, it was operating in a dated production facility with low ceilings and limited space. In addition, the growing demand for its products required a solution that could guarantee productivity of up to 250 bundles of flour per hour, while maintaining high safety standards to reduce the risk of injury.

The need to move from a manual process to a fully automated system was not just a matter of efficiency, but a real strategic evolution to ensure the long-term sustainability of production.

The Customized Solution for Palletizing Bundles

To meet these needs, Europack designed a tailor-made solution based on the WINNER 400 palletizing robot. This robot, designed specifically for palletizing, stands out for its ability to adapt to complex production environments and limited space.

Here are the strengths of the solution:

  • Compact design and low column: perfect for environments with low ceilings, while still ensuring optimal performance.
  • Customized gripper head: a sturdy aluminum frame and electropneumatic control system enable precise and synchronized handling of bundles.
  • Intuitive operating panel: thanks to more than 25 years of experience, Europack has developed a user-friendly interface that allows operators to configure palletizing schemes, change parameters and add recipes in a few simple steps.
  • Versatility in pallet management: possibility to work on two pallets on the ground with Euro (800x1200) and CP1 (1000x1200) formats, adapting to different production needs.

Why is Europack the Right Choice?

  • Specialization: robots designed exclusively for palletizing.
  • Competitive cost: a more advantageous price than standard industrial robots.
  • Adaptability: minimal footprint required, ideal for facilities with space constraints.
  • Ease of use: intuitive interfaces that reduce learning time for operators.

The case study demonstrates how a company with a long tradition can innovate and improve its processes through advanced technological solutions. The partnership with Europack made it possible to turn a challenge into an opportunity, guaranteeing not only immediate results but also a sustainable production future.
